Make it five blowout wins for the Union Area Scotties this season. They were the clear victor by a  79-57 margin over Avella. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  win Union Area has posted  since December 27, 2023.
 Union Area was led to victory by  Braylon Thomas and  Lucas Stanley.  Thomas  scored 19 points along with six  assists and four  steals, while  Stanley  scored 24 points along with nine  steals and six  rebounds. Stanley hasn't dropped below 15points for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was  Dayne Johnke, who  scored six points along with eight  rebounds.
  Westley Burchianti and  Bryce Wright certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss.  Burchianti  scored 19 points, while  Wright  scored 17 points.
 Union Area's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 7-9. They've been dominating during the  matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 28.67 points. As for Avella, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.
 Union Area will look to defend their home court  on Tuesday against Laurel at 7:30  p.m. Laurel is coming into the  match on a six-game losing streak. As for Avella, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Jefferson-Morgan at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Hopefully Jefferson-Morgan focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 16 on Monday.
