Chowchilla was the  54-20 winner over Minarets when they last played one another  back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Tribe fell  36-26 to the Mustangs on Friday. The Tribe's loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
 Despite the loss, Chowchilla still got an impressive performance from   Isaak Barbosa, who picked up 61 receiving yards and one  TD, and also rushed for 57 yards on only five carries. The bulk of those receiving yards came from one huge play: a catch that gained an incredible 60 yards.  Charles Arechiga got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Minarets' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Torin Wolf led the charge by throwing for 280 yards and three  touchdowns, while also rushing for 30 yards and one  score. The Mustangs' leading receiver  Caden Larsen was  Wolf's top target yet again, picking up 194 receiving yards and a pair of  TDs.
Chowchilla's  defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-3. As for Minarets, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home.
 Chowchilla didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  47-7  victory against Caruthers on the 24th. As for Minarets, they have also already played their next contest,  a  49-14  win against Parlier on the 24th.
