The Red Mesa Redskins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 60-40 loss at the hands of Basis. Red Mesa has not had much luck with Basis recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Several Redskins players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josh Begay, who scored 11 points. Begay's trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonah Herbert, who scored nine points.
Jack Engelthaler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Basis, dropping a double-double on 36 points and 14 rebounds. Engelthaler hasn't dropped below two steals for 12 straight games. McLane Baillie was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven steals.
Red Mesa has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Basis, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-4.
