Despite the loss, Sterne still got an impressive performance from Rico Duenas, who scored 14 points. Duenas continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Smith Trimble, who scored six points.
Marshall was led to victory by Robert Fields and Tayvion Lawrence. Fields scored 23 points, while Lawrence scored 25 points. It was the first time this season that Fields scored 15 or more points.
Sterne's loss was their eighth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Marshall, their victory bumped their record up to 3-11.
Sterne will be playing at home against the Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lycee Francais is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games. As for Marshall, they will head out on the road to take on the Pumas at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in California (Burton is ranked 1248th, while the Phoenix are ranked 1264th).
