Calvary Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kate Malinky (HS), who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Diaya Armantrading, who scored six points.
Holly Grove Christian's loss was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.3 points per game. As for Calvary Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.
Holly Grove Christian will be playing at home against Sussex Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holly Grove Christian's defense has only allowed 29.5 points per game this season, so Sussex Academy's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-26 victory vs. Faith Baptist School on the 12th.
