After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Davis, the Riverton Silverwolves were happy to have found some success on Monday. They walked away with a 53-46 victory over Jordan. That 53-46 margin sets a new team best for Riverton this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Faythe Stauffer, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Stauffer has scored at least 25% of Riverton's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emmalee Christensen, who scored 16 points.
Jordan lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Claire Todacheeny, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Kenzie Colunga, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
The win got Riverton back to even at 2-2. As for Jordan, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Riverton is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Payson at 5:30 p.m. on December 6th. Hopefully Payson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Monday. As for Jordan, they will face off against Mountain Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mountain Ridge presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Jordan in Utah (Mountain Ridge is ranked 18th, while Jordan is ranked 102nd).
