The Phillips Wildcats posted their biggest victory since December 27, 2023 on Saturday. They were the clear victor by a 77-53 margin over Lake Forest Academy. Given Phillips' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Lake Forest Academy is ranked 477th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Edwards scored 22 points along with five assists and two steals, while Horton scored 27 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Horton has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Harris, who scored nine points along with three steals.

As for Lake Forest Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Francis W. Parker at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Francis W.
