Zaiden Davis Goes Supernova in Centennial Victory
Zaiden Davis's big game helped extend Centennial's winning streak to six on Thursday. Davis was unstoppable, rushing for 175 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries, while also throwing for 259 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 63 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Alamogordo had to have seen this coming; the last time they saw Davis it was a similar story. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Davis saw the Tigers), he rushed for 112 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 136 yards and two touchdowns on only eight passes.

Alamogordo is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6. Best and Alamogordo will head out on the road to square off against Carlsbad at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lennis Washington Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Organ Mountain got the W thanks in part to Lennis Washington playing the best football he has all season. Washington picked up 133 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
Organ Mountain's win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. Washington and Organ Mountain will face off against Clovis at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Dylan Hergenreder Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Dylan Hergenreder posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Alamogordo over Centennial on Thursday. Hergenreder rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 80 yards.
On the season, Hergenreder has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 91 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 2.17 rushing yards per game.
