Seneca Valley (Harmony, Pa.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Jordan Brown thew a touchdown to
Jon Dorogy with with less than a minute remaining in the second quarter, bringing the team to victory over
North Hills (Pittsburgh, Pa.) 40-26.
After taking the lead on a Brown touchdown pass to Dorogy in the second quarter, the Raiders led 26-19 at the half.
Each side put up seven points during the third quarter, and the fourth quarter began with the margin still at seven.
The loss snapped the Indians' 4-game winning streak.
North Hills'
Jordan Blackmon played well. The junior wide receiver ran for one touchdown.
Forrest Barnes played well for Seneca Valley in the victory. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns.
NH came in allowing just 10.5 points per game this season. The Pittsburgh school struggled against SV, which came in averaging 29.2 points per game.
A 21-14 Seneca Valley victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The loss comes after North Hills defeated Fox Chapel 31-7 last week. With the win the Raiders extended their winning streak to four games.
North Hills (5-2) goes up against Pine-Richland in a WPIAL AAAA Northern Eight game matchup next week, while Seneca Valley (6-1) locks horns with Bethel Park in a non-conference game.
