As a matter of fact, that's the most points Matheson has scored all season. Tal Kessous was another key contributor, scoring 22 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Sports Leadership & Management's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Dennis Pierre, who scored 37 points along with two steals, and Mason Plewinski who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine assists. It was the first time this season that Plewinski posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Jaeden Ivy, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Even though they lost, Sports Leadership & Management were working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
The victory makes it two in a row for Donna Klein Jewish Academy and bumps their season record up to 7-9. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
