Warsaw is 0-6 against Homestead since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Warsaw Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Homestead Spartans at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Warsaw focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Wednesday.
Warsaw posted their biggest victory yet this season on Wednesday. They blew past Mishawaka 79-36 at home. Given Warsaw's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while Mishawaka is ranked 235th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Warsaw relied on the efforts of Brooke Winchester, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds, and Brooke Zartman, who scored 27 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Zartman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joslyn Bricker, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Homestead unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 60-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Fort Wayne Snider.
The win makes it two in a row for Warsaw and bumps their season record up to 10-7. As for Homestead, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3.
