Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lake Catholic on Monday. The Royals were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Cougars. The Royals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by seven runs or more this season.

Shaye Tepley made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in April. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Sarah Bronowski and Addison Keil did most of the damage at the plate: Bronowski went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one RBI, while Keil went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs Bronowski has posted since back in March. Layla Wayman was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .654. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake Catholic only posted an OBP of .118.

Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Lake Catholic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
