After flying high against the Mountain View Bruins last Friday, the Spanish Fork Dons came back down to earth. Spanish Fork fell to Brighton 51-46. Spanish Fork lost against Brighton in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 58-45 score last time.
Brighton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Workman led the charge by scoring 16 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Chin, who scored 12 points.
Spanish Fork's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Brighton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Spanish Fork will head out on the road to face off against Corner Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Corner Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Tuesday. As for Brighton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Layton at 7:00 p.m. on November 29th.
