Mooresville and Greenwood are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2015, but not for long. The Mooresville Pioneers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Greenwood Woodmen at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mooresville's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests.
Mooresville will bounce into Friday's game after beating Center Grove, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Mooresville snuck past Center Grove with a 73-69 win on Tuesday.

Brevon Burns was his usual excellent self, as he made all 12 shots he took for 34 points and three steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Chris Thompson-Moore was another key player, putting up 13 points along with six assists and five steals.
Mooresville was working as a unit and finished the game with 22 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Greenwood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They secured a 52-47 W over Seymour on Saturday.
Greenwood found their leader in sophomore Joey Ortman, who posted 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaac O'Neal, who went 5-for-9 en route to 10 points and four steals.
Mooresville now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Greenwood, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
Friday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Mooresville has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 36.4% of their three-pointers per game. However, it's not like Greenwood struggles in that department as they've made 35.4% of their three-pointers this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Mooresville came up short against Greenwood in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 72-64. Thankfully for Mooresville, Jake Mosemann (who went 8-for-13 on his way to 25 points and five assists) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
