Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jace Schukar, who went 8 of 16 on his way to 21 points. Those 21 points gave Schukar a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Essex, who posted 15 points along with six assists and six boards.
Even though they lost, Loomis smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Loomis' defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Southern Valley, with the win, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7.
Loomis and North Central will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Loomis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully North Central likes a good challenge. As for Southern Valley, they will be taking part in a tournament against Blue Hill at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
