The Burbank Bulldogs entered their tilt with the Harlandale Indians with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Burbank enjoyed a cozy 35-21 win over Harlandale last Thursday. Burbank pushed the score to 35-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Harlandale cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Keven Hernandez, who threw for 290 yards and five touchdowns. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Israel Zapata did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 81 receiving yards.
Several Indians players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Saucedo, who threw for 210 yards and three touchdowns.
Burbank's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Harlandale, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burbank will face off against Edison at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Edison: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Burbank has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. As for Harlandale, they will challenge Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
