After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bath, Pewamo-Westphalia was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the St. Patrick Shamrocks by a score of 9-4. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Shamrocks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
Eve Halfmann made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out seven batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). Halfmann was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Reylee Thelen was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two doubles. That's the most doubles she has posted since back in May of 2025.
