Sunnybrook Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Lifegate Christian Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunnybrook Christian will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1573rd, while the Falcons are ranked 660th).
Last Thursday, Sunnybrook Christian was the victim of a rough 45-20 loss at the hands of the Hoplites.
Meanwhile, Lifegate Christian came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Salem Sayers Baptist Academy for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-17 win at home. Lifegate Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 22 points or more this season.
Lifegate Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lexi Crow led the charge by scoring 24 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. It was the first time this season that Crow scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elena Mendez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Sunnybrook Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Lifegate Christian, their victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1.
Sunnybrook Christian took a serious blow against the Falcons in their previous meeting back in January, falling 60-20. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Sunnybrook Christian was down 50-7.
