Football Recap: All Saints Central Skates Past North Huron with Ease

All Saints Central had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 67 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the North Huron Warriors 72-8. The Cougars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Warriors, too.

All Saints Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bo Williams, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 46 receiving yards and one TD. Another player making a difference was Jack Wetters, who rushed for 88 yards and one score on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: All Saints Central was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 301 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Huron only rushed for 167.

All Saints Central's record now sits at 6-2. As for North Huron, they moved to 5-2 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

All Saints Central and North Huron should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Cougars (ranked 29th) will meet Potterville (ranked 264th) at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, North Huron will square off against Bad Axe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (59 vs. 209).
