 Despite the  defeat, University Christian saw an underclassman step up: freshman  Nahla Jones  had 24  digs and one  assist. Those 24  digs set a new season-high mark for  Jones.  Jahniyah Robinson also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  block of the season.
Beaches Chapel's win bumped their record up to 9-3. As for University Christian, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record  this season.
 Beaches Chapel will welcome St. Johns Country Day  at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for University Christian, they will venture away from home to  challenge Providence School  at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday.
