The third road contest was the charm for Kimberly, as they earned their first away win of the season. Everything went their way against the Appleton West Terrors on Monday as they made off with a 12-4 victory. The Papermakers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Connor Olson was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Olson was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Sawyer Deering, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. He also hit two doubles, marking his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Ben Johnston, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
