It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Canterbury Crusaders had no problem doing just that on Friday. They strolled past Real Life Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 46-28. Canterbury pushed the score to 39-14 by the end of the third, a deficit Real Life Christian Academy cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Jordan Battle, who rushed for 223 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Roman Wilder, who rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.
Canterbury has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-5 record this season. As for Real Life Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-4.
Canterbury will head out on the road to face off against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Florida School for the Deaf & Blind is ranked 12th, while Canterbury is ranked 15th). Real Life Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
