Shore - Central B recap October 29, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in Shore - Central B this week, Shore Regional beat Mater Dei 38-12. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Blue Devils.
Keyport/Hudson Regional led the league in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on Keansburg.
Asbury Park's Robert Barksdale and Jaedon Stephens led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Barksdale has thrown for 529 yards this season, while Stephens has 13 catches for 201 yards. Brian Miller from Shore Regional leads the league in rushing with 604 yards.
An important game coming up in Shore - Central B this week will be when Point Pleasant Beach takes on the Raiders. At the moment, the Garnet Gulls are in first, while Keyport/Hudson Regional is in third.
There should be lots of points scored when the Titans and Mark Costantino's team face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Keansburg comes in having scored 91 this season, while the Blue Devils have scored 155. Chris Damian's team scored 35 points last week as it lost to Mike Ciccotelli's team.
The Bishops made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,220 from 8,377. The advance stemmed from a 32-0 victory over Metuchen last week.
