Highland hasn't had much luck against University recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The two teams will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Highland comes in on three and University on 21.
Highland can't be too worried about heading out to take on University: they just beat Strasburg at home, who had been dominant on their own court up to that point. Highland came out on top against Strasburg by a score of 58-49 on Friday.

Highland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Vivianne Chase out in front who almost dropped a double-double with 11 points and nine boards. Chase has been hot recently, having also posted four or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Briza Flores, who posted eight points and seven steals.
Highland smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, University strolled past Holy Family with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 53-38.
Highland better focus on containing Addison Harding and Natalie Trujillo as the pair were huge in University's win. Harding dropped a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Trujillo put up 11 points. What's more, Trujillo also posted a 75% shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Allizzey Madrigal was another key player, putting up six points.
Highland's record now sits at 15-6. As for University, their victory was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-0.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Highland has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.4 boards per game. However, it's not like University struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Highland lost to University on the road by a decisive 59-43 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Highland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
