Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, the Kimball Jaguars couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 1-0. It was the first time this season that Kimball let down their fans at home.
Kimball's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3-2. As for Lathrop, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-7-4.
Kimball does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lathrop will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Vista del Lago at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. Lathrop's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for six straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
