Volleyball Recap: Hagerman Comes Up Short

Hagerman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Tatum Coyotes. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coyotes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 14th.

While Hagerman ultimately came up short, they really made Tatum work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-15, 27-25.

When it comes to explaining why Hagerman lost, don't look at Ariana Magallanes. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs and ten kills. Magallanes is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had five or more in each of the last 11 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raeanne Talamantes, who had 13 assists and seven digs.

Hagerman's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Tatum, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season.

Hagerman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Texico on the 4th. As for Tatum, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Loving on the 4th.
