Last Friday, Temple Christian Academy earned a 64-52 victory over the Lions. Given Temple Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 105th, while the Lions are ranked 218th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Jeramy Trangmar, who scored 26 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Temple Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Passetti, who scored 12 points.
Anderson Christian won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They were dealt a 55-23 defeat at the hands of Richard Winn Academy. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Anderson Christian in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.
Temple Christian Academy pushed their record up to 21-3 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.6 points per game. As for Anderson Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.
Everything came up roses for Temple Christian Academy against the Lions in their previous matchup back in November of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-35 win. Will Temple Christian Academy repeat their success, or do the Lions have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
