After both having extra time off, the Branford Buccaneers and the Williston Red Devils will shake off the rust and duke it out at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Branford sitting on seven straight wins and Williston on five.
Branford is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Union County by a score of 3-1.
Branford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-14, 25-14.

Branford found their leader in sophomore Ava Alcorn, who had 14 digs and six assists. Alcorn is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played. Paisley Knight also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assists of the season.
Branford was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Williston beat Moore Haven 3-1 on Tuesday.
While Williston might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Moore Haven scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 27-25, 23-25, 25-23.
Branford better keep an eye on Kailey Davis. She was instrumental in Williston's win, getting ten assists and six digs.
Branford's victory bumped their record up to 22-4. As for Williston, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
