The Bayshore Bruins's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They secured a 53-48 W over Out-of-Door Academy. That's another feather in the cap for Bayshore, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Bayshore's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was William Strawbridge, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antonio Romo, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Bayshore's win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for Out-of-Door Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayshore will challenge DeSoto County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully DeSoto County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Friday. As for Out-of-Door Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Evangelical Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Evangelical Christian will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
