The Brookville Blue Devils had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against Preble Shawnee by a score of 28-18 on Friday. The victory was nothing new for Brookville as they're now sitting on three straight.
When it comes to explaining why Preble Shawnee lost, one person who can't be blamed is Isaac Blankenship. Despite the final result, he picked up 106 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Brookville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. As for Preble Shawnee, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Brookville will head out on the road to face off against Waynesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waynesville will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Preble Shawnee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
