The Brimley Bays's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 79-49 loss at the hands of St.Ignace. Brimley has not had much luck with St.Ignace recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Brimley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Perry LeBlanc, who scored 13 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Jones, who scored eight points.
Brimley has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for St.Ignace, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Brimley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Gaylord at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. Gaylord is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58.7 points per game. As for St.Ignace, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Marquette at 1:45 p.m. Marquette knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully St.Ignace likes a good challenge.
