Centennial made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Borah, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Patriots were the clear victors by a 15-7 margin over the Lions on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Charlize Veldhouse'27 made a big impact no matter where she played. She pitched 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-5.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Centennial hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.8 home runs per game. However, it's not like Timberline struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
