Midview extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 7-8 in the process. They blew past the Avon Lake Shoremen 13-6. Considering the Middies have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Savannah Holcomb was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Midview let Dezirae Thomas and Liv Keenan run wild. Thomas got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs and two doubles, while Keenan got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.
