The Highland Prep Honey Badgers were the 41-32 winner over the Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Highland Prep was dealt a 53-18 defeat at the hands of Scottsdale Preparatory Academy on Monday.
Despite the loss, Highland Prep still got an impressive performance from Kendra Ibeh, who scored six points along with five rebounds. Ibeh scored a full 33.3% of Highland Prep's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Highland Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Prep won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Mountainside at 5:30 p.m. on December 12th. Mountainside comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Scottsdale Preparatory Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison Highland Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
