The Legacy Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the All S Saints at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Legacy Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last four contests.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Thursday. Legacy Christian Academy put the hurt on Lake Country Christian with a sharp 13-2 victory. Legacy Christian Academy might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by seven runs or more this season.
The team relied heavily on Mallary Renner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Ryan Mosley was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Legacy Christian Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .511 or higher in four consecutive matchups.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times All S and Fort Worth Christian had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Saints walked away with a 7-3 win over the Cardinals on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Saints in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won three in a row.
Heidi Peterson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, All S let Bailey Toscano and Anna Hardaway run wild. Toscano went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Hardaway got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
Legacy Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for All S, their record is now 10-6-1.
Both Legacy Christian Academy and All S just can't seem to miss. The Eagles have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 8.8 hits per game. However, it's not like All S struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Legacy Christian Academy took their victory against All S when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
