Basketball Game Preview: Windsor Forest Knights vs. Brunswick Pirates

The Windsor Forest Knights will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Brunswick Pirates at 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Windsor Forest's tournament run continued when they took on Bradwell Institute on Saturday. Windsor Forest snuck past Bradwell Institute with a 71-67 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Knights.

Windsor Forest had a senior duo take command as Landon Page made all 7 shots he took to post 18 points and Sean Cabellero made all 7 shots he took for 17 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cabellero has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ryheim Manning, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, Brunswick put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They enjoyed a cozy 79-63 win over Effingham County. While the Pirates didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Brunswick's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Windsor Forest, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
