Baseball Recap: Show Low's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Show Low unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against the Blue Ridge Yellow Jackets, falling 17-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since April 11, 2024.

Landon Eriksen and Nick Hall stepped up to the plate in a big way. Eriksen scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Hall scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Karter Alexander was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base.

Show Low's defeat dropped their record down to 9-5. As for Blue Ridge, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Show Low will face off against San Tan Foothills at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Show Low is facing San Tan Foothills at the right time seeing as San Tan Foothills is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Blue Ridge, they will square off against Alchesay at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Blue Ridge's pitchers better be ready for this one: Alchesay has averaged an impressive 9.6 runs per game this season.
