Antelope is 9-1 against the Falcons since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Antelope Titans will look to defend their home court against the River Valley Falcons at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Antelope's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last ten matchups.
Even though Yuba City scored an imposing 62 points on Tuesday, Antelope still came out on top. Antelope took their contest against the Honkers 74-62. Given Antelope's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Honkers are ranked 757th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Logan Melton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 9 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 29 points and 3 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Quentin Mitchell, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, River Valley's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They fell just short of Roseville by a score of 67-65. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for River Valley in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.
Antelope's victory bumped their record up to 12-13. As for River Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Antelope against the Falcons in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 72-43 win. Will Antelope repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
