Drew Gartman Delivers Electric Performance Vs Harding Academy
Starting off the list is Valley View's Drew Gartman, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Gartman rushed for 204 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per carry, and also threw for 237 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes. Those 204 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.
The win for Valley View keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Gartman and Valley View will take on Wynne at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Harrell Made His Presence Known in Nettleton's 42-20 Win
Xavier Harrell's big game helped extend Nettleton's winning streak to three on Friday. Harrell was unstoppable, rushing for 113 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards dating back to last season.
Nettleton's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. Harrell and Nettleton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Greene County Tech at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

Cole Bentz Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Batesville got the W thanks in part to Cole Bentz playing the best football he has all season. Bentz threw for 173 yards and two touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 49 yards, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
With the win, Batesville broke their seven-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4. Bentz and Batesville will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Wynne at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

A Season-Best Effort from Isaac Black Leads Nettleton over Brookland
On Friday, Nettleton got the W thanks in part to Isaac Black playing the best football he has all season. Black made five total tackles (1.0 for loss) and snagged two interceptions which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.
For the season, Black has averaged 5.7 total tackles per game and for the season has 3 interceptions. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 1.33 total tackles per game.
