Owyhee put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Skyview Hawks as Owyhee made off with an 11-2 win. Considering the Storm have won seven contests by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Grace Brooks made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
In other pitching news, Hailey Brennan looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit in seven consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Sobella Malliarodakis was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Caitlyn Geiser, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Owyhee hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Skyview struck out nine times.
