Wheeler has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Quanah Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Wheeler will be strutting in after a win while the Indians will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Wheeler earned a 60-47 win over the Cyclones. Given Wheeler's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 619th, while the Cyclones are ranked 1321st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Quanah lost to the Skyrockets on the road by a decisive 48-33 margin on Friday. Quanah has not had much luck with the Skyrockets recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Wheeler's victory bumped their record up to 19-7. As for Quanah, their loss dropped their record down to 17-12.
Wheeler came out on top in a nail-biter against the Indians in their previous meeting back in January, sneaking past 37-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wheeler since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
