Softball Recap: Make It Eight in a Row for Eastside

Eastside came tearing into Wednesday's game with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Twin Springs Titans with a sharp 11-5 victory. Considering the Spartans have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Emma Sartin was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two hits in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two triples and two runs. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Dakota Clay was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and one run. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Jada Jordan was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Eastside's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-2. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Twin Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-6.

As of now, neither Eastside nor the Titans have any future games scheduled.
