On Saturday, the Wahkiakum Mules lost to the Summit Classical Christian School Archers at home by a 72-55 margin. The Mules have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Will Simon was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 15 boards for Summit Classical Christian School. Simon's afternoon made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Hodo, who almost dropped a triple-double on 14 points, nine rebounds, and ten assists.
Wahkiakum's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Summit Classical Christian School, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wahkiakum will head out to face off against Adna at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Wahkiakum knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Adna likes a good challenge. As for Summit Classical Christian School, they will head out on the road to square off against Toledo at 3:00 p.m. on December 30th.
