After two games on the road, The Fulton is heading back home. After both having extra time off, The Fulton and the Heritage Classical Christian Academy Hawks will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 9, 2024. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, it was a hard-fought contest, but The Fulton had to settle for a 59-56 loss against Christian Academy of Greater St. Louis.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up ten more assists than your opponent, a fact Heritage Classical Christian Academy proved back in November. They walked away with a 55-45 win over Providence Classical Christian Academy.
Heritage Classical Christian Academy's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Luke Heskett, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 17 rebounds, and Trip Taylor, who scored 25 points along with five assists and five steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Taylor has scored at least 25% of Heritage Classical Christian Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Heskett, who scored four points along with five rebounds.
The Fulton bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Heritage Classical Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
The Fulton might still be hurting after the 47-26 defeat they got from Heritage Classical Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in January. Can The Fulton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
