Make it eight blowout wins for the Eastern Alamance Eagles this season. They blew past Orange 66-42. 66 seems to be a good number for Eastern Alamance as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Nicole Hester was her usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Makayla Scott, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds and two steals.
Despite the loss, Orange still got an impressive performance from Evelyn George, who scored 21 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Stephens, who scored seven points along with four blocks.
The win was the sixth in a row for Eastern Alamance, bringing their record for this year to 11-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points per game. As for Orange, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.
Coincidentally, Eastern Alamance and Orange will both be playing Western Alamance the next time they take the court. Orange will head out to face Western Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Eastern Alamance will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
