For Hillcrest, this counts as revenge for the 36-28 loss Thomasville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Leading Hillcrest to victory were Khloe Clark and Arreon "Tweety" Lopez. Clark scored six points along with ten rebounds, while Lopez dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lopez has scored all season.
Hillcrest's victory bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Thomasville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Hillcrest will play host again and welcome Monroe County, where tip off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Monroe County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last 16 games. Thomasville on the road again on Friday and play against Excel at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Excel is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
