The Fletcher Falcons lost against the Liberty Preparatory Christian Patriots last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Fletcher was dealt a 57-12 loss at the hands of Liberty Preparatory Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fletcher has scored all season.
Liberty Preparatory Christian found their leader in underclassman Leia Garrett, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Those seven steals set a new season-high mark for her. Riley Turner was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds.
Fletcher's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Liberty Preparatory Christian, they pushed their record up to 8-2 with that win, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fletcher will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Liberty Preparatory Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Providence Classical at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
