Jones has gone 8-2 against Solorio recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Sun Warriors at 4:30 p.m. Jones will be strutting in after a victory while Solorio will be coming in after a loss.
On Saturday, Jones made easy work of Lincoln Park and carried off an 11-1 win. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Gio Delgado tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Renzo Sansonetti, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Henry Kujawa also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Jones kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Solorio was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jones. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Solorio saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josiah Saucedo, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Jones has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Solorio, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Jones has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.1 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Solorio struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Jones beat Solorio 6-3 in their previous meeting on Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
