Baseball Recap: Gulliver Prep Takes a Loss

On Monday, the Gulliver Prep Raiders came up short against the Tocoi Creek Toros and fell 13-8. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Aiden Falcon and Omar Falcon did some serious damage despite the final result: Aiden scored a run while going 2-for-2, while Omar went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Omar a new career-high. Justin Parson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Gulliver Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Tocoi Creek, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.

Looking ahead, Gulliver Prep will be playing at home against ABF Academy Homestead at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gulliver Prep has given up an average of 7.5 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Tocoi Creek, they will head out to take on Coral Gables at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Tocoi Creek's pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so Coral Gables' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
