There's no place like home for Murphysboro, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the DuQuoin Indians on Tuesday. The Red Devils were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Indians, so the Red Devils were just returning the favor.

While Murphysboro might've won, it sure wasn't easy: DuQuoin scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21.

Murphysboro can attribute much of their success to Macey Alexander, who had 23 assists and three digs.

Murphysboro's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for DuQuoin, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Murphysboro will head out to challenge Waterloo at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for DuQuoin, they will face off against Carterville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
